I hope everybody is having a good summer, and looking forward to a great school year and a great football season. I want to share some dates and information about the upcoming football season. This Wednesday through Friday we will host the Dillo Football Camp, details are: The SSISD will be holding the annual Dillo Football Camp Wednesday July 25th, 26th, and 27th. The camp will be held from 9:00am -11:00am at Rogan Field. The cost of the camp is $25.00 payable to SSISD. Campers may register Wednesday morning between 8:30 and 9:00. If you have any questions please call Coach Pannell at 325-372-3222 or 325-372-1712. 2 a day football prac- tices will begin August 6th. This for all 9th-12th grade players. Practice for Middle School players will begin the first day of school. The Purple/Gold practice will be Saturday August 11th from 8:00-11:00. High School Football pictures will be Thursday August 16th at 10:00am at Rogan Field. The football parent meeting for all football parents will be Thursday August 16th at 7:30pm in the foyer of Armadillo Arena. Meet The Dillos will be Friday August 24th at 7:00pm at Rogan Field, admittance will be towels and soap. A complete calendar with all dates and times can be picked up at the Field House at Rogan Field. Make sure your football player has all paper work turned in, even if your child did not have to get a physical he or she must have all paper work up to date. This can be picked up and turned in at the Field House at Rogan Field. If your child is entering the 7th, 9th, or 11th grade or was injured last year he will need a physical, if you were unable to get a free physical last spring, this needs to be taken care of prior to the first practice.I encourage all parents, fans, and community members to get involved with the football program. There are many ways to do this, All-Sports Booster Club, Coffee with the Coach, Spaghetti Madness, work chains at sub-varsity and varsity games, helmet tunnel crew, etc., etc. I want to think you in advance for your support of the football game program, the football poster, and the cookie dough football fundraiser.
