Dr. Bill and Camille Carpenter are proud to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Amanda Leigh, to R.D. Parks, II. A small family wedding will take place on August 4, 2012, at Pecan Grove Baptist Church in San Saba, Tx followed by a reception at Soap's Place in San Saba.R.D. is the son of Mr. & Mrs. R.D. and Mitsuko Parks of Balikpapan, Indonesia. He graduated from The American School of Barcelona in Spain in 2002. He is currently a member of the United States Marine Corps Reserves and is attending Texas Tech University.Amanda is the granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. Billy Carpenter of Rising Star, TX and Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Cole of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Amanda is a 2010 graduate of Cross Plains High School and is also currently attending Texas Tech. The couple will reside in Lubbock.
