Fellowship of Christian Women's Luncheon to be held July 26th
Thursday, July 19, 2012 • Posted July 19, 2012

Fellowship of Christian Women’s Luncheon will be gathering next Thursday, July 26th at the First United Methodist fellowship hall for a July Picnic. The Methodist ladies give all the ladies in the county a very special invitation to come and share food and fellowshipping around the tables. We begin at 11:30 a.m. and encourage you to bring your favorite picnicking foods for the luncheon. Ladies in their 40’s are to be treated this month. A nursery can be available by making arrangements with Sharon Hayes in advance. Please remember to bring food for your preschoolers if you want them to eat during the luncheon time. Tarah Mae Crosby, daughter of Bro. Sam and Jan Crosby of San Saba, has agreed to come and share her recent trips to Africa. It is rare to go to Africa but twice in less than one year, what a blessing! Both trips were planned and coordinated thru a partnership between Texas Baptists Missions and Nigeria and Uganda. About 40 adults and teens, several from San Saba, went on the first trip to conduct Vacation Bible School and minister thru eye clinics. Glenna Boyd shared with us about that trip last September when they returned. The second trip was timed for spring break as many of these volunteer missionaries were high school and college students from First Baptist Church in Early, Texas. They worked in six different schools and shared the gospel of Jesus with teachers and children. Both trips have impacted Tarah’s life and the Lord has changed her perspective on ministry and stirred her heart to be bold about sharing her faith. Hope you will make your plans to come and bring someone with you to enjoy the luncheon and to hear about Tarah’s exciting experiences.
