Going before the Judge
Thursday, July 19, 2012 • Posted July 19, 2012

Over the years I have gone before the judge many times and I have learned there are two ways it can be done. One time I was in the judge’s office and the highway patrol brought a man in handcuffs and with a lot of chains on his legs and around his waist. I was immediately escorted out of the judge’s office and as the door was closing I heard the judge say, “How do you plead” later on I saw that man being hauled off to jail. I learned one thing that is not the way you want to go before a judge. There is another way and that is to have no offenses or have your offenses taken care of or covered. That is my case at the present moment and I want to keep it that way. Yes, years ago I had some offenses, a ticket for speeding and for no lights on a livestock trailer. I paid them! I now regularly go into the judge’s office as a friend not as an offender; my record is clean. The Bible talks a lot about how we are lawbreakers or sinners, (Romans 3:23). If we do not take care of those offenses-sins, one day we will stand before a judge as offenders. Faith in Jesus Christ is the only to get our offenses- sins forgiven, (John 3:17, 12:47&48, Jude 1:24&25). See you in Church next Sunday.
