2 Corinthians 4:7: “But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.” You and I are the jars of clay. The treasure is the gospel. The messenger should be awed with the opportunity to share God’s Word. He must be careful to present only God’s Word in its purest form. He must be careful to not add to God’s Word says or to take from God’s Word. We are the ones who plant the seed of God’s Word in the hearts of men, and God’s all-surpassing power is what transforms lives. Isaiah 55:11: God says, “...so is My Word that goes out from My mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”
