J.D. Taylor was born on April 2, 1950, in Hartselle, Alabama to William Taylor and Daisy Hopper Taylor. J.D. married Nelda Humphries in Ft. Worth, Texas on September 4, 1970. He was the owner of Taylor Roofing Co. in Ft. Worth for 35 years and retired from TXDOT in 2010. Mr. Taylor passed away at his home on July 11, 2012.He is survived by his wife, Nelda Taylor of Richland Springs; his son, William Taylor and wife, Angie of Stephenville; a grandson, Isaac Taylor; a brother, Donnie Taylor and wife, Nelda of Ranger; his sisters, Christine Taylor of Arizona; Seeyilla Taylor, Betty Kanady, Linda Greer, Brenda Taylor and Mary Jane Elrod, all of Alabama. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.A private memorial service for J.D. Taylor will be held at a later date. Mr. Taylor was cremated under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home. Blaylock Funeral Chapel of San Saba is in charge of arrangements for Mr. Taylor.
