The descendants of William L. & Leah Ellen Moseley Pearce held their 14th annual reunion on June 15 & 16, 2012, at the Pavillion in Mill Pond Park. Everyone had a really good time & even managed to get through both days without any major ordeals, which is actually a record! All of the young ones enjoyed the newest addition to Mill Pond, the paddle boats, & passed the afternoon off swimming in Pecan Pool. The older bunch visited & enjoyed all of the good food that always shows up! A white elephant auction was held to raise funds for expenses with Frank Pearce utilizing his superb auctioneer abilities, & a little begging! Representing the Raymond Pearce Family was Cliffair Pearce Lummus, & her daughters, Carolyn Mebus & Betty Jo Davis, & a cousin on the Ford side, Karen Ford Erby & her daughter Debbie. The reunion crowd helped Cliffair celebrate her 90th birthday, as she is the reigning Matriarch of the Pearce Clan. Representing the Mary Pearce Barrett Family was Dean Barrett & wife Evelyn Parks Barrett. From the Herman (Casey) Pearce Family was Patty Pearce Ratliff & her husband Mickey, & Patty’s daughters & families, Bonny Tripp Shahan & husband Bryan, with Brady & Brook, & Jolie Tripp Gray & husband David, with Tripp & Maggie. Also Frank Pearce & his wife Cydney, & Frank’s daughter Paige Motes with Piper & Dalton, & Cubby Pearce & his wife Teresa Blodgett Pearce with Reed Blodgett completing the Casey Pearce Family. Representing the Bernie Pearce Family was Gary Pearce & his wife Glenda Till Pearce with their daughter Rhonda Kaye Pearce Smith, & Sandy Pearce McHorse. The family gladly welcomed another cousin, Tom Collins & his wife, Pat, from the Coot Pearce Family, & are looking forward to years of visiting! The group voted to hold the 2013 Reunion at the Pavillon to coincide with the 75th Annual San Saba County Rodeo, which will be held on May 31 & June 1, 2013.
