Thursday, July 12, 2012 • Posted July 12, 2012

Dove Project, Inc. is a safe environment for domestic violence and sexual assault victims to come for shelter and assistance when getting through their situations. We feel that abuse is intolerable and no one should ever be violated of their basic human right to be safe from harm. Our mission is to work in conjunction with outside agencies to provide education, violence prevention services, and crisis intervention to victims of family violence. We seek the support and resources necessary to achieve this mission. The Dove Project, Inc. Board of Directors would like to introduce a new member of the team, Nikwai Noble, as the Executive Director. She has been with the Dove Project since April 2012, and strives to help domestic violence victims in San Saba County the best she can through the many resources Dove Project has at its fingertips. Growing up she survived domestic violence and, therefore, is a strong advocate for victims and believes that family violence should not be tolerated and no one should have to suffer through it alone. Her personal goal is to be an ear and resource to any woman, child, or man that is going through any type of domestic violence.Nikwai and her family come to us from Killeen, Texas. She is a wife, mother of one, and expecting baby number two in August of this year. Mrs. Noble served in the United States Army for 8 years as a part of the military criminal justice system, and earned an Honorable discharge in 2005.Please join us in welcoming Nikwai and her family to the community.
