San Saba City Council holds called session
Keep San Saba Beautiful Commission accepts check from LCRA

The San Saba City Council met for a called session on Friday, June 22nd at 12:00 noon in the Council Chambers. Mayor Ken Jordan called the meeting to order, welcoming visitors from LCRA, Keep San Saba Beautiful Commission, and Alderman Oleta Behrens' grandchildren from Round Rock, Texas. Also in attendance were Shawn Oliver, Mayor Pro-Tem; Aldermen Mark Amthor, Oleta Behrens and Martha Leigh Whitten; City Manager, Stan Weik, City Secretary, Gale Ivy; Keep San Saba Beautiful Director, Susie Jimenez. Steve Dyer and Mike McHenry, representing the LCRA, presented a check in the amount of $500.00 from the LCRA Board to Keep San Saba Beautiful representatives Gail Bruner and Joann Weik.The Council took action on the following items:1. Reviewed the two bids for the construction of Wastewater Treatment Plant sludge removal, Phase II. Accepted the bid from Kirk’s Farm Services in the amount of $101,500 to be paid in full from Grant funds.2. Elected the following members to the Parks Committee: Debbie Shahan, Kynda Jordan, Cathy Amthor, Michael Bohensky, Kevin Shahan and Martha Leigh Whitten. Elected the following members to the Utilities/Streets Committee: Alice Jane Allen, Jarvis Shaw, Gene Stewart, Dora Miller, Larry Shivener, Javiar Biaz, Carey Amthor and Mark Amthor.
