Grand Jury indicts three for murder

On Monday, June 18th, a San Saba County Jury indicted Carl Wade Pressley, Lillian Annette King and Bruce Wayne Harkey of Murder. Presley and King were also indicted for Burglary of a Habitation to Commit a Felony.Sheriff Brown stated, "The Sheriff's Office and the District Attorney's Office met with the Grand Jury for over four hours and that the results were exactly what we expected. The Sheriff's Office has well over 500 man hours in this investigation and the investigation is still ongoing at this time. Chief Deputy Bill Price and Sergeant John Wilkerson presented the case along with Sam Oatman, representing the District Attorney's office." Sheriff Brown stated that he wishes to thank the entire Sheriff's Office staff for their efforts in this case. "This has been and will continue to be a team effort and all of the staff has gone above and beyond when asked."Sheriff Brown stated that his office previously met with Leon County officials and the Texas Rangers to tie the two cases together and will be traveling there again and look forward to moving this case to the next level.
