Jody Worsham has taught high school theatre for 39 years, 37 in Nacogdoches, a 5-A school, and two years in Hudson, a 3-A school. She attended high school at Blooming Grove, a 1-A school, where she competed in Ready Writing, One Act Play, and Extemporaneous Speaking at the state level.

She has conducted acting workshops for the National Educational Theatre Association in New York, Toronto, San Francisco, and Portland. She is the former Chairman of the Secondary Section of the Texas Educational Theatre Association where she has been a workshop presenter for many years. She also served on the board of the South West Theatre Conference and the Secondary Section of the National Educational Theatre Association.

Jody has a B.A. and Masters Degree in Theatre and Speech from Stephen F. Austin State University with graduate work done at Texas A&M.

She and her husband have eight adopted children.
