There is a chance of rain in the forecast and we sure do need it. The grass is showing the effects of the hot, dry wind. The 42 tournament has been moved from Richland Springs this Saturday night, to Elm Grove. Partly due to the fact that the community building, where the tournament is held in Richland Springs, is under renovation. This Saturday night is also the fundraiser for the Elm Grove VFD and the tournament will be held at the community center after the fish fry. The fundraiser will be at the EGVFD station starting at 5:00 PM. Come and get some good food and help out a worthy cause. We will miss the fish fry, if all goes as planned, we will be in San Angelo at Sophia Elizondo’s 2nd birthday party. The Busy Bee quilters will meet on June 12th at the home of Irene Hammett. We were glad to hear that Bonnie Evans is back home after her recent stay in the hospital. We wish her a speedy recovery. We had a whole houseful of company this past weekend. Jaxon, Georgia and Jesse Tucker stayed with us Friday through Sunday while their parents Rex and Amy, celebrated their 17th anniversary. Bethany Suber came in Saturday night, then we had Stacie, Santos and Sophia Elizondo as well as Lanell, Theron, Kelton and Hannah Parson and Andy Cummings all come over on Sunday. Rex and Michael made a trip to town and we had an impromptu grilled hamburger supper which was enjoyed by everyone.
