Matthew 26:41 - "Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation; the spirit it indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."

Before continue reading the comments to follow, please pause long enough to seriously consider this important warning Jesus spoke to Peter. Jesus spoke these words of wisdom immediately after He had completely surrendered to do the will of God, His Father, and subject Himself to the horrible and painful death of crucifixion, as God ordained to qualify Him to be our Savior. Jesus perfectly understood His death on that cross would be a horror to bear. He asked God to let it pass from Him if there could be another way, but then said, "never the less, not My will; but Thine be done."

Do you believe an average Christian of our world today has enough spiritual strength to answer God with the same words Jesus used? How can you answer God in your own life when circumstances in your future are unwanted and scary? We know Peter was one of Christ's strongest disciples and he boasted that he would never deny Jesus nor leave Him. But alas! Just after Jesus spoke these words to him, Peter even denied his Lord Jesus three times and began to curse and say he did not know Him.

And now, I want to express a few personal thoughts that some may not agree with. Forgive me if you are one of those, but I believe our great Heavenly Father is prompting me, and I have promised to stay obedient to His Holy Spirit and write whatever message I feel He is giving. For two reasons, I have ignored the many beggings to bring back the Biblical Gems. Namely, my wife has been near death's door since October after enduring a stroke, and secondly, I began to notice that some were not seeing what I thought God was showing me. In my last Gems, I was bold enough to state that I thought the greatly feared tribulation had started. I still believe that, and I am beginning to see many of the things God revealed to me then that are happening right now. I think all who do not notice these things are living in spiritual darkness.

For instance, can you believe that all the natural disasters that are occurring in our world today are just nature's ordering? We have the wars and rumors of wars that are mentioned. There are unusual droughts in many places, many devastating fires and floods. Even millions of homes are being destroyed by these unusual events, and if we are not spiritually awake, we may fail to see the great falling away from Christ's teachings and God's way of life.

Surely, we cannot be spiritually blind enough to deny that our great American nation is becoming a very wicked nation. It would take too much space to try to show why this is true. But I am trying to tell you that God already sees it, and is displeased. If you want these Biblical Gems to continue - tell San Saba News in some way.
