Jerrie Lou Startz, 79, of Odessa, formerly of San Saba, passed away Friday, July 25, 2008 in Odessa. She was born May 18, 1929 in Lytle, Texas the daughter of Louis L. Goodman and Maggie Tressie Sinclair Goodman. Jerrie moved to San Saba at an early age and resided there most of her life. On February 9, 1946, Jerrie Lou Goodman and Charles Startz were married in San Saba County. Charles preceded her in death November 3, 2004. She was a home health care attendant and was a member of the New Hope Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Peggy Wright, and her husband, Terry, of Odessa, TX; one granddaughter, Erin Wright, of Odessa; one grandson, Rusty Wright, and his wife, Tiffanie, of Odessa; one brother, Louis Goodman of Graham, TX; two sisters: Tempie Savage of Graham, TX; and Becky Elliot of Mineral Wells, TX; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers: John, Earnest and Jim Goodman; and two sisters, Gertie Stewart and Fannie Lee.

Services for Jerrie will be Friday, August 1, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Howell-Doran Funeral Home in San Saba, with Rev. Terry Wright officiating. Interment will follow at the Wallace Creek Cemetery.
