Capital Area Food Bank's Mobile Pantry serves San Saba residents

The Capital Area Food Bank’s Mobile Pantry reported that for the first time since coming to San Saba they actually gave away all the food. On July 23, the number of households served was 118 and the number of total individuals benefiting was 317

The CAFB Mobile Pantry comes twice a month, on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday from 10am -12 noon on the eastside of the First Baptist Church.

Clients received at least two meats, two bread items, canned goods, staples (box mixes, rice, beans), onions, plums, oranges, and much more. The average weight of each food package is around 50#.

Anyone wishing to contribute to assist CAFB in bringing food to San Saba may do so through the local San Saba Ministerial Alliance, P.O. Box 636, San Saba, TX 76877 or through the Capital Area Food Bank, 8201 South Congress Avenue, Austin, TX 78745.
