Joe Bob Garrett of Euless, Texas, went home to be with his Lord on May 9, 2012, at Harris Methodist HEB Hospital in Bedford, Texas. A memorial service was held at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 12, 2012 at South Euless Baptist Church with graveside services and internment at Richland Springs Cemetery at 4 p.m. the same day. Pastor Johnny Kimberlin of South Euless Baptist Church officiated at both services.Joe Bob was born in San Saba County, Texas, October 23, 1929, to Anson and Macie Garrett. He graduated from Richland Springs High School after which he served four years in the United States Air Force. After completion of his military service, he was employed at LTV Avionics in Grand Prairie, Texas, until his retirement in 1991. In December, 1954, Joe Bob married Wanda Patton of San Saba. They had two children and made their home in Euless, Texas.He is survived by his wife, Wanda; daughter, Kathy Jo Buzzard and husband, Guy of Grapevine, Texas; three granddaughters, April Garrett Moody and her husband, Russsell of San Saba; Addyson and Anna Buzzard of Grapevine; a special daughter in spirit and love, Kathy Adams (aka the Fritch Kid); one sister, Doris Korenek and one brother Samuel A. Garrett, both of Richland Springs; several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.Joe Bob was preceded in death by his son, Marcus; his parents, Anson and Macie Garrett; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Billie Ruth and Glenn Patton of San Antonio; a brother-in-law, Robert Korenek of Richland Spring and Harold Glenn Patton of Arlington, TX.Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Forest Ridge Funeral Home, Hurst, Texas.
