Well, it’s hard to believe but it’s the last week of school! The longer I teach the quicker the years seem to fly by. FFA had a successful banquet last week. Officers decorated the tables and everyone enjoyed their time with the students and getting to know what all FFA has done this year. It’s been a successful program and we’re so excited that Cherokee FFA finally exists! Thanks to Mr. Harris for his tireless efforts to see this program grow, and thank you to all who have donated things to the Ag program. This program would not have been near as successful without the generosity of those in this community. I’m excited to see what our students do next year!Ag Day was a success! Thanks to Mrs. Eoff for her hard work in organizing this fun, educational event. Thank you to all the presenters, as well. Tuesday was Water Day. Students enjoyed the slides and getting a break from the heat. Thank you, PTC, for this exciting event. Elementary Awards will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday in the gym. All family and friends are encouraged to come. Students will be released at 1:25 on Thursday. Graduation will be held on the football field at 8 p.m. on Friday.Upcoming events:May 22: Water DayMay 23: 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 6th period final examsMay 24: 5th, 3rd, and 7th period final examsMay 24: 1 p.m. Elementary AwardsMay 24: 1:25 dismissalMay 25: 8 p.m. graduation.
