The winery, owned and operated by Stephen and Sally Baxter, is located on the family ranch which has been part of the family’s holdings for six generations. In addition to the beautiful, scenic countryside, the winery boasted an appealing rustic décor which included charming homestead fixtures and quaint antiques. The evening’s menu began with appetizers of cheese, grapes and assorted olives and crackers, as well as samples of the signature Fiesta wines. Dessert was a luscious truffle brownie.Prior to the main course, Kathleen Hawkins, outgoing club president, welcomed members and guests alike and commended Loy Nell Behrens, Entertainment Chair, and her committee for the outstanding job they had done throughout the past year. Kathleen then “passed the gavel” to incoming president, Anita Miles. Anita then in turn praised Kathleen for the outstanding job she had done as club president. Announcements included that Anna Wilson would serve as Entertainment Committee Chair and that Sharon Clawson would chair the Yearbook Committee. Lynn McHenry, Brooke Bagley and Hillary Adams were recognized and welcomed as the newest additions to the club membership. Keith Shahan was then asked to give the blessing. Throughout the meal, members and their guests enjoyed good food and lively conversations amidst a lush country setting. As the evening came to a close, the Entertainment Committee and outgoing Chair, Loy Nell Behrens, were once again thanked for hosting the year-end affair.
