We received another .9 inch of rain last Monday making a total of 2 inches recently. My yellow flowers have really responded to it. I know I keep commenting on the yellow flowers, but I just think they are so pretty. We had a good last Saturday for the Homecoming Picnic. There were not as many as usual attending but for some it really was a homecoming. The former Allene Henniger was there as well as the former Charlotte Cowart. Also, Mr. Matthews and his family from Bangs who went to school here. I failed to get his first name. There were very few children present so there were no games played. We missed Weldon Faught being there to give rides in his horse drawn wagon. Hopefully he will be well enough next year to be back. Benny Deeds and Keith Simpson were our musicians and they did a great job. We enjoyed the music a lot. Benny is a local boy and we can always count on him. The food was good and the old school house and the grounds all looked very nice. All in all it was an enjoyable day and we invite you back next year on the third Saturday in May.
