Dear Editor,

On behalf of the San Saba County Child Welfare Board (CWB) I would like to say thank you to Skeebo at KNUZ radio for giving us the opportunity to talk about the CWB and for promoting child abuse awareness and prevention month in April. Also, we want to thank the San Saba News and Star for the space you gave to our board and the articles you published each week in April during child abuse awareness and prevention month. You exceeded our expectations and we know because of your efforts our community is better informed of the purpose of the CWB. You also made the community aware of child abuse even giving signs to recognize possible abuse. Finally, we would also like to thank the three elementary schools in our county, Cherokee, Richland Springs and San Saba, for giving us permission to conduct the “Go Blue” day in April. It was beneficial to our children. We also want those who suspect abuse not to hesitate to report it to the child abuse hotline at 1-800-252-5400.
