74th Annual San Saba Pro Rodeo Days

The 74th Annual San Saba Pro Rodeo Days will return Friday and Saturday, June 1st and 2nd. In the barrel will be legendary funny man “Gizmo McKracken." The county roping starts on Thursday night, and so does the E & B Fun Time Rides Carnival. Every night is Wristband Night, pay one price and ride it all. Friday night starts with the parade downtown at 5:00, then Mutton Bustin' at seven.Friday night is Tejano Night with Grupo Destello in concert and the kick off of the “Crazy Country Cookoff” (a Lonestar BBQ Society sanctioned event) with 100% payback, trophies, and a thousand dollars added cash. Friday night is the Menudo Cookoff . Saturday night is the B.B.Q. Cookoff which includes brisket, pork ribs, chicken, and beans.Don’t miss the Dixie House Racing Team Dragsters and the Gordon Collier Band in concert Saturday night. All activities are at the San Saba Rodeo Grounds on Hwy. 16 North. Admission is $8 for adults, kids 7 to 12 are $6 and kids 6 & under and the Military get in free with I.D.
