Richland Springs ISD is proud to announce Elizabeth Avila as 8th grade Valedictorian. Bralei Lewis is 8th grade Salutatorian. Congratulations to both young ladies on outstanding accomplishments.The 2012 Junior/Senior Prom was a success. Thanks to sponsors Nelson Smith and Pam Starr who helped decorate the cafetorium for the gala event.Each year the Rotary Club honors our students, school board and faculty at the annual Rotary Honor Banquet. Board members and faculty from each school are asked to stand and be recognized at the banquet. Honor students are presented with medals and one senior receives a scholarship. All parents, board members, faculty and staff are invited to attend. Tickets for the meal are $10 and you may bring your spouse if you desire. All parents of honor students are encouraged to attend. Dress is semi formal. Hope to see you at the Rotary Honor Banquet at the San Saba Civic Center-Thursday, May 10 at 6:30.Richland Springs will have the annual Sports Banquet this Friday at 6:00 in the cafetorium. Richland Springs also hosts an annual Alumni Banquet this Saturday beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the gym. It is great to visit with all former students.Congratulations to Sara Hedley who will be traveling to Austin to compete in Lincoln/Douglas Debate at the UIL Academic State Meet. Go Coyotes-BRING HOME THE GOLD!If you see a teacher in public, tell them how much you appreciate their efforts. We have a great community, students, teachers and staff.
