Glenn Lewis

Glenn Lewis, 64, of Llano, Texas passed away Tuesday May 1, 2012. Glenn was born June 21, 1947 to Robert Gordon Lewis and Amanda (Purcell) Lewis in Spicewood, Texas. Glenn married Jeanette Jones on January 17, 1980 in Llano, Texas; she preceded him in death on February 9, 2012. He was also preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Wanell Haydon. Glenn moved to Llano in 1988 from Marble Falls, Texas, and he was a Ranch Foreman for Moursund Arrowhead Ranches, among other things. He was a member of the Cattle Raisers Association and Quarter Horse Association. In his earlier years he was a ranch hand and cowboy in South Texas.Survivors include his son, Codey Lewis of Llano, Texas, and those he considered his own; Shauna Thompson of Glen Rose, Texas and Chris Wright of Llano County, Texas; brother, Gerald Lewis and wife Barbara of Marble Falls, Texas; sister, Betty Derbew and husband, Bob of Marble Falls, Texas; three grandchildren, Courtney, Clara and Taylor; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.Visitation was held Friday, May 4, 2012 at the Waldrope Hatfield Hawthorne Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services were held Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Honey Creek Cemetery with Reverend Max Copeland officiating.
