Libby is once again STATE BOUND!!!Libby Lasley won the 3200m race at the Regional track meet on Friday at Judson’s D.W. Rut-ledge Stadium. She placed 3rd in the 1600m race on Saturday. Talli Morrison performed well in the discus event. As one of the youngest athletes in the event, it’s great to know she’ll be back in the competition next year. Senior Ryan Breadner also had a great performance at the shot put ring. He now has his sights on Canadian college football. Well, students and staff survived the TAKS and STAAR tests. Now, the 9th graders are left to perform their best on the new End of Course exams in the weeks to come.Second through fifth grades enjoyed a field trip to Waco’s zoo and science museum on Monday. Elementary Field Day is at Zephyr on Thursday. Sun block, caps and sunglasses are always a good thing to take on May field trips. Also on Thursday is the All Sports Banquet at the Home’s pavilion. The event begins at 6 p.m. and Mexican food dishes are welcomed. Students will be released at 12:50 on Friday.
