Shellie Dawn Haley, 21 years of age of Lampasas was killed in a one vehicle roll over just southeast of the Bend Store on Wednesday the 25th. Haley was leaving the fishing camps with two friends when the accident occurred and she was ejected from and pinned under the vehicle. The other two passengers received only minor injuries and rushed to summon help. Deputies and First Responders from both Lampasas and San Saba Counties arrived on scene to assist. Haley was pronounced dead by Justice of the Peace, Les Dawson and the two other occupants of the vehicle were transported to Lampasas ER. The Department of Public Safety is still investigating the crash. The victim was not wearing a seat belt and alcohol is considered a factor in this investigation as well.
