Richland Springs High School OAP competes in Area Competition

The cast of the Richland Springs High School One Act Play stopped long enough to pose for this photo in the Bluebonnets of San Saba County before heading to the AREA One Act Play Competition. The Area contest was held in Fredericksburg on Saturday, April 14th. Brooklyn McGinty as Ouiser and Katelynn Teel as Shelby were named to the Honorable Mention All Star Cast, and Sara Hedley, who played M’Lynn, received the All-Star Cast award. Lometa High School’s, Of Mice and Men and Medina HIgh School’s Meet Me In St. Louis advanced to the Regional Competition to be held at Blinn College on April 21st. Best Actor was from D’Hannis and the Best Actress was from Medina.The cast and crew of Steel Magnolias would like to thank everyone who contributed to the play and the RSHS theatre program. The people of San Saba County have been so helpful and supportive of the play, and the company has enjoyed presenting their eight performances of the play.
