Last week the Richland Springs Coyotes competed very well at the District 30 track meet in Kerrville. It was the last district meet for seniors Denim Reeves, Ben VanCleave, and Tra Williams. Others who competed were Chance Bush, Gunner Mann, Thomas Fowler, Trevor Tinney, Patrick Phillips, Ty Mann, Dillan Parker, Jacob Cohn, and Taylor Terry. Taylor was the only girl and narrowly missed advancing to the area track meet by a step. Several athletes advanced to area including Denim Reeves in long jump, Trevor Tinney in pole vault, Ben VanCleave in the 100m dash and 200m dash, and all three relay teams. The champion sprint relay team included Denim, Ben, Ty, and Chance. The 4x200m relay included Denim, Ty, Chance, and Gunner. The 4x400m relay included Denim, Ty, Dillan, and Patrick. The area track meet is Wednesday, April 11th in Harper. Field events begin at noon and running starts at 5:00 pm. Come out and support our tracksters. Go Coyotes!
