The San Saba Ladies Golf Association met March 22, 2012 for play day with the Chair for March, Dorothy Sterner, calling for team play, using one score on the first hole, two scores on the second hole, and all three scores on the third hole. The team of Sandee Hartley, Hattie Rogers, and Jo Ann Snow defeated Anita Miles, Dorothy Sterner, and Jo Ann Hardy. It’s always fun to have team play where you are cheering for each other. Anita and Jo Ann Hardy chipped in to win the chip in pot and Jo Ann also won the putt pot and Sandee scored the only birdie of the day and the Low Gross. March 15, 2012 Sandee Hartley, Dorothy Sterner, Jo Ann Snow, and Jo Anne Hardy were out for play day and they played the traveling 4-ball point system with Jo Anne Hardy capturing first and there was a tie for second between Sandee and Jo Ann Snow. Four ladies, Hattie Rogers, Jo Ann Snow, Sandee Hartley, and Anita Miles, will be traveling to Mount Belvieu, near Houston, April 3, 2012 for the Senior Women’s Amateur Golf Tournament. It is a long trip but hopefully it will be worth the miles and we will come home with awards! The ladies are practicing hard and are looking forward to this trip, where the fun and fellowship are the most important parts of the tournament. The San Saba River Golf Course is more beautiful every day! Come visit and enjoy the magnificence of God’s creations. And you want to join in on this fun by learning and ‘swinging!’
