San Saba natives, Gene and Ruth Terry, recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Emmett Eugene Terry and Velma Ruth Taylor were married June 22, 1948, in San Antonio.

Gene served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, and is retired from UT-Austin. Ruth retired from the IRS Service Center in Austin.

They have two daughters: Dorothy Tyler and Joanne Terry; two granddaughters: Erin Tyler and Meredith Quimby; and one great-granddaughter, Peyton Quimby.

Gene and Ruth now reside in Victoria, Texas.
