Hulon Doyle Egger

Hulon Doyle Egger, age 85, of Regency, Texas, passed away at his home on Tuesday, July 15, 2008. He was born January 18, 1923 in Regency to parents, Lem and Mae Jones Egger.

Hulon Doyle Egger and Anna Bell Wood were married in Alpine, Texas on June 21, 1943. They moved to Regency the following month. Hulon and Anna Bell just recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.

He served in the military in the 77th Statue of Liberty Infantry Division. Hulon was a rancher. He belonged to Shiloh Bible Church in Richland Springs.

Hulon is survived by his wife, Anna Bell Wood Egger, of Regency; daughter, Marianna Graves and her husband, Bob, of Guthrie, Texas; son, Woody Egger of New York City, New York, and his partner, John Bonura; grandchildren: Cherry Pittcock and her husband, Jimmy, of Aspermont, Texas; and Nancy Cude and her husband, Brand, of Goree, Texas; and great-grandchildren: Kelli and Kannan Pittcock; and Ryder, Kathryn and Bryanne Cude.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Erma Chesser.

Funeral services were held Friday, July 18, 2008, at the Stacy-Wilkins Chapel in Goldthwaite, with Rev. Don Ramsey officiating. Interment followed at the Regency Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Bill Shaw, Harold Everett, Si Rowlett, Chad Anderson, Guy Henry, and Mike Hall.

Services were under the direction of Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home in Goldthwaite.
