Frances Louise Bode

Frances Louise Bode, 89, of Trent Texas, passed away Monday, July 14, 2008 at her residence in Trent. She was born February 18, 1919 in San Saba, the daughter of Hugo A. Bode and Henry D. Dickison Bode.

She graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1935, and furthering her education she graduated from Durham Business Institute in 1940. She was a past regional president of WMU in Seminole, Texas. Frances was a member of the Baptist Church.

She is survived by four daughters, Jean Louise Dorris Siess and her husband Charles of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Roycelyn Dana Cane and her husband Michael of Naples, Florida, Alana Joyce Owen of Chandler, Texas and Linda Carol Gruben of Hurst, Texas. Twelve grandchildren, Sixteen Great-Grandchildren and Five Great-Great Grandchildren. One aunt, Lucille Bode of Pontotoc, Texas and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother Clifton Bode.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 19, 2008, at 10:00 AM at the Cherokee Cemetery in Cherokee, Texas with Rev. Jody Simmons officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, July 18, 2008, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Howell-Doran Funeral Home in San Saba, Texas. The family request that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
