Lantex Film Society presents Extremely Loud And Terribly Close

The LanTex film Society presents “Extremely Loud and Terribly Close” at the LanTex this Friday night March 23 at 7:30 and Saturday March 24 at 4:00 and 7:30 . The film will help fund up coming events and film competitions. This very popular and emotionally charged movie involves a nine year old amateur inventor, Francophile as he searches NYC for the lock that matches a mysterious key left by his father, who dies in the World Trade Center on September 11. It stars Tom Hanks, Sandra Bullock, Thomas Horn and Max von Sydow. Francophile is trying to cope with the loss of his father, who was a jeweler on the 105th floor of the WTC. He hears his father’s last message on the answering machine, left on that fateful day, but conceals it from his mother. A year later his discovers a key in his father’s belongings and embarks on a scavenger hunt to find the matching lock. He documents his journey in a scrapbook.
