Deputies Stiles and Barrows conducted a traffic stop at the west end of San Saba Saturday the 3rd and illegal narcotics were recovered from a vehicle. Joshua Mason of Cherokee was arrested for Possession of Marijuana > 2ounces but < 2 pounds. The deputies stopped Mason for a traffic violation and during the stop the odor of marijuana was detected. The vehicle search led the deputies to the marijuana and other items of drug paraphernalia. Mason was transported to the county jail where he was booked in on the narcotics charges.
