Jerome and Shirley Meischen and fourteen other relatives traveled to Leander to watch grandson Blake Gideon and David McBride play football. Leander and Cedar Park played the last district game. The two teams are big rivals. Blake has friends on the Cedar Park team and they hugged each other before and after the game, after all it is just a game and friends are friends. Leander won the game 34-23, which puts them in the playoffs. They will play Killeen Ellison Friday night, November 16 at Leander. You just know the cheering squad will be there to root for the team.
