The San Saba Ladies Golf Association met February 23, 2012 on a beautiful day for play day. The ladies played heads up golf, awarding prizes to First Low Gross - Sandee Hartley, Second Low Gross - Anita Miles and First Low Net - Hattie Rogers and Second Low Net - Dorothy Sterner. Anita chipped in to win the Chip In Pot and Sandee had the low putts to win the Low Putt Pot. Jo Anne Hardy, Jo Ann Snow, and Peggy Jones were also present for golf and lunch. Four ladies, Hattie Rogers, Sandee Hartley, Jo Ann Snow, and Anita Miles will be attending the Senior Women’s Amateur Golf Tournament in April at Mont Belvieu, Texas. It will be a long drive but hopefully worth the trip, as the ladies have begun practicing and anticipate winners! Lady golfers from all over Texas will be attending this event and the ladies look forward to renewing old friendships. These tournaments are held at courses all across Texas, which make it lots of fun for the participants. See what you’re missing by not “swinging!”
