On Wednesday the 22nd, at around 5:30pm, San Saba Sheriffs deputies, City Police, EMS and San Saba Fire Rescue responded to a one vehicle crash on the Old San Saba Highway or CR 204. The vehicle, which had five occupants had been traveling east bound on the old San Saba Highway or CR 204, when it lost control and rolled over. One male passenger, who was seriously injured, was flown by helicopter to Scott and White and the driver of the vehicle was transported by EMS to Llano Hospital for treatment. The other three occupants were treated and released at the scene with minor injuries. Driving too fast for the road conditions is believed to be the cause of the incident and Trooper Mark Owens is investigating the crash. The driver was treated and released from Llano and the other passenger is currently in the hospital in Scott and White recovering at this time. Sheriff Brown stated that this was simply a motor vehicle accident and that no alcohol or narcotics were involved in this incident.
