Clarence W. Vaughn

Clarence W. Vaughn, 94, passed away on February 17, 2012. He was born to Willie and Flora Vaughn on March 30, 1917, in Bell County. He lived most of his life in San Saba County where he worked on the Deep Creek Ranch and then Leonard’s Farm. He worked on the Leonard’s Farms for 48 years after which he retired at the age of 85. Clarence and Josie were married on March 4, 1939. After his retirement, Clarence loved to find a good game of dominoes.Survivors include his son, Clarence Vaughn, Jr., and wife, Ginger, of Fort Worth, Texas; grandsons, Wesley Alan Vaughn of Rio Vista, Texas; and Chad Everett Vaughn of Saginaw, Texas; great-grandchildren, Cody Vaughn of Rio Vista, Texas; Katelynn Vaughn of Saginaw, Texas; Chad Vaughn, Jr. of Saginaw, Texas; great-great granddaughters, Desiree Vaughn, Deana Vaughn, and Dakota Vaughn; and numerous nephews and nieces.Clarence was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Josie Vaughn; his brothers, T.P Vaughn, Charlie Vaughn, Sidney Vaughn, Phil Vaughn, Ditt Vaughn, Sterling Vaughn, Pugg Vaughn; and his sisters, Florence Lee Cummings and Flora Bell Cummings.Bro. Richard Vanderville conducted the graveside service at Wallace Creek Cemetery Tuesady, February 21st at 2 p.m.Heritage Funeral Home was in charge of the services for Clarence W. Vaughn.
