Edward J. Gonzales was born June 30, 1943 in San Saba, TX to Mr. Cruz Gonzales and Ms. Cruz Cardenas and passed away February 22, 2012 in Seagoville, TX. Edward was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Josefina Elizondo and Herminia Gloria. He is survived by his sons, Edward Gonzales, Jr. and wife, Corina of Garland, TX; and Gregory Gonzalez of Dallas, TX; daughters: Margarita Gonzales of Dallas, TX; Irma Martinez and husband, Javier of Dallas, TX; Angelica Maria Gonzales of Grand Rapids, MI; 20 grandchildren; 2 great-grandsons; brother, Arthur Gonzales and wife, Margie of Norman, OK; aunt, Eloise Torres of San Saba, TX; 4 nephews; 3 nieces and many cousins. Visitation was 5-9p.m. Monday, February 27, 2012 at Laurel Oaks Funeral Home with a rosary service at 7:00p.m. Mass of Christian Burial was 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at St. Peter The Apostle Catholic Church, 2907 Woodall Rodgers Fwy. Dallas, TX 75204 with Ft. Stanislaw Poszwa officiating. Interment followed at Laurel Oaks Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family would like for donations to be made to the Notre Dame School of Dallas, 2018 Allen St. Dallas, TX 75204.
