Richard W. Bessent, 74, of Richland Springs, Texas, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2012. Richard was born on March 7, 1937 in San Saba, to Joe and Myrtle Bessent. Richard was a loving and caring father, grandfather and great grandfather. He loved being with his family especially while hunting, fishing, and other outdoor activities.Richard is survived by his sons, Richard Bessent and wife, Shelia of Fort Worth; Travis Bessent and wife, Rae of Brady; Gary M. Bessent of Cherokee; and Eugene Bessent of Richland Springs; daughters, Kathy Davee and husband, Koen of Richland Springs; and Wendy Gonzales and husband, Philip of Richland Springs; twenty grandchildren, Stephanie, Jeremy, Amanda, Cheryl, Crystal, Valene, Stormi, Ashley, Kaleb, Desirae, Hope, Victoria, Izaah, Elias, Mysti, Cory, Bryan, Jonathan, Elijha and Marc; seventeen great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Myrtle Bessent.Funeral Services were on Monday, February 20, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Blaylock Funeral Chapel in San Saba. Interment followed at Hillcrest Cemetery. The family received friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Sunday, February 19, 2012 at Blaylock Funeral Chapel.
