Jeremiah 7:23-30 “But this thing commanded I them , saying, ( obey My voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be My people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you). But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imaginations of their evil hearts, and went backward and not forward. I have even sent unto you all My servants, the prophets, daily rising up early sending them. Yet they hearkened not to Me, nor inclined their ear, but hardened their neck to do worse than their fathers.

But thou shalt say unto them, ( This is a nation that obeyeth not the voice of the Lord their God, nor receiveth correction: truth is perished and is cut off from their mouth). The children of Judah have done evil in My sight, saith the Lord: they have set their abominations in My house, which is called by My name, to pollute it. They have built high places to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire; which I commanded them not, neither did it come into My heart.)

You may choose to not give these scriptures serious consideration because God spoke them to His people a long time ago, but if you carefully study each one, I believe you will see that we in America are just as guilty as God’s people who heard His condemnation and then punished those without mercy who refused to hear His warning.

Do you doubt truth is perishing in America and is not being heard from the mouth of our present day preachers? We can not deny evil is saturating most of the communities and even many of our churches in this nation and surely God sees it now just as clearly as He did then. Do you believe America will hear and obey the voice of God any better than the people God had to condemn and punish?

I began to try to warn people a long time ago that God does not have to permit and ignore the great sins that are daily seen in our nation. I even made the bold statement that I believe the greatly feared tribulation the Bible prophesies has already started, and I am sure most people chose to completely ignore it.

But I think some signs are happening now that may cause many to give serious thought and it may not only becoming reality, but God is actually causing the unwanted troubles we are seeing. I sincerely hope I am wrong and that we in America can appreciate the great blessings of God enough to live lives to prove we do love and respect Him with a true faith that His power is awesome : but is a God of love and eager to forgive. You can do that if you answer this question:– Does God have the right to punish a people whom He has blessed enough to become the number one nation of the world : then they turn from Him into great sinning?

If you answer that question correctly, you will never be critical nor bitter toward God.

Let us sum it up by saying America is becoming a very, very sinful nation that is grieving God, and if He becomes angry, He has the right to punish, and that is exactly what He did to His own sinful people in past Profane and Biblical history. Like birth pangs upon a woman in travail our worldly troubles will be coming closer together and more severe. Jesus warned exactly that.
