The Lady Dillos finished up their season with an exciting win over the Coleman Lady Bluecats on Tuesday night. The Lady Dillos traveled to Coleman wanting to end their season on a good note and send our only senior (Ashley Pulatie) out with a win. The Lady Dillos did just that by defeating Coleman 40-31. The game started out close as the 1st quarter ended 7-7. However, the Lady Dillos were able to break the game open in the 2nd quarter and take a 25-13 lead into halftime. The Lady Dillos were able to hold that lead the remainder of the game. It was a very rough and physical battle, as the refs let both teams get away with lots of contact. I was pleased with the way we were able to stay mentally tough and play through it. We have grown so much in that area. Scoring for the Lady Dillos were, A. Maxcey, 2; Kutin, 5; M. Maxcey, 5; Pulatie, 14; Turner, 2; Bauerschlag, 10 and Haverland, 2.I was very proud of the pro-gress we were able to make throughout the year. We were a young team as far as experience goes, but this group of young ladies competed and played their hearts out every single night and I couldn't be prouder of them. We are going to build upon this and there is no doubt that great things are coming for the Lady Dillos!I would like to say thank you to all the parents and fans for their support and encouragement of these young ladies. I can assure you that just knowing you are behind them means a lot to these girls. They are a very special bunch and I look forward to a bright future with them! Go Lady Dillos!
