Debbie and Keith Shahan of San Saba, along with Dixie and Steve Claybrook, and Kent Brown of Salt Lake City, Utah, are pleased to announce the engagement of their children, Jason James Shahan and Desiree Flint, both of Lubbock Texas. Jason is a 2000 graduate of San Saba High School and a 2005 graduate of Texas Tech University currently employed by Lubbock ISD, teaching and coaching at Coronado High School. Des is a 2003 graduate of Coronado High School and a 2008 graduate of the College of the Southwest in Hobbs, NM. Desiree coaches club league volleyball for the City of Lubbock while also teaching and coaching in the Brownfield ISD at the middle school and high school levels. Proud grandparents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Elton Faught, Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie Shahan, and the late Marjorie Taylor Shahan of San Saba, and Mrs. Estella Romero and the late Arnold Romero of Layton, Utah, Mrs. Pauline Brown and the late Deon Brown, Lyn Claybrook and the late Alwayne Claybrook, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Reed Flint of Utah. An outdoor evening wedding on June 22, 2012 at Memory Lane in Dripping Springs, Texas is being planned by the couple.
