Joe Fred Flores, age 53, of San Saba passed away on Monday, February 6, 2012, at a local nursing home. He was born on May 23, 1958 to Adolfo Flores and Teckla Ramos. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in San Saba. Joe was an avid outdoorsman who loved camping and spending time with his family. He enjoyed life.Mr. Flores is survived by his children, Kelsey Flores, Joe Fred Flores Jr., Kayla Flores and Aurelio Rodriguez all of San Saba; his grandchildren, Jorge Pedraza and Aurelio Rodriguez Jr.; his aunts, Delores Mendiola of San Saba; Magdulena Ramos of Trinidad Montanana; and Elida Ramos. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Gilbert Flores and wife, Lupe of San Saba; Ruben Flores of San Saba; Adolfo Flores Jr. and wife, Julia of Snyder; Gonzalo Flores and wife, Abby of San Saba; Oralia Huron and husband, Ernest of San Saba; Susana Coranado and husband, Apolonio of San Saba; Ester Flores and Joe Pena of San Angelo; Sylvia Juarez of San Saba; Emma Stewart and husband, Bruce of San Saba; and Delia Krueger of San Saba. Also left behind to cherish his memory is his sister in law, Linda Flores of Huntsville, Alabama; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Louis Flores and Sam Flores.Funeral Services were held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in San Saba, interment to followed in the San Saba Cemetery. Funeral Mass was led by Father Ramiro. A Rosary was held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at “The Father’s House” in San Saba. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the San Saba Cemetery Association. Friends may sign the guestbook on-line at www.blaylockfuneralhome.com.
