Linda Mixon

Linda Mixon, 61, of San Saba, passed away Friday, February 10, 2012. She was born July 16, 1950 to William and Virginia Crow in Pasadena, Texas. Linda married Christian Mixon on January 1, 1998 in Los Angeles, California.Before moving to San Saba, Linda worked as an actress and in film production in Los Angeles and New Orleans. She also owned and operated a Montessori School in Beaumont, Texas. Being a woman of many talents, she operated the Senior Citizens Center and Meals On Wheels for San Saba Community Action Association. She called this work her “mission.” She loved associating with all the patrons at the Senior Center and loved creating fun things for the Senior Center to do. An example of this would have been the boot stockings the center made to send to the soldiers overseas for Christmas. Also, Linda was a member of the San Saba Garden Club.Survivors include her husband, Christian Mixon of San Saba; daughter, Autumn Greer and husband, Jeremy, of Rayne, Louisiana; son, Morgan Mixon of San Saba; sister, Gail Hanna, of Pasadena, Texas; neice, Crystal Woodward of Pasadena, Texas; and nephew, Mark Hanna of Pasadena, Texas.Linda was preceded in death by her parents, William and Virginia Crow; brother, Charles Crow, and daughter, Summer Nitsch.Memorial services for Linda will be held on Friday, February 17, 2012, 3:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel.In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or Livestrong Foundation..
