On Saturday, February 4, the Tennis Association held the first annual Alumni match. The alumni won the match over the high school players 15 to 6. It was good to see the former tennis players out playing tennis again. I think everyone had a good time, but were probably sore the next day. We are going to try to have this every year and make it better and bigger next year. The Alumni that participated in this years match were: Cheray Haverland, Robin Welch, Alicia Cummings, Jackie Dyer, Sofia Flores, Kara Davis, Larry Bourke, David Bourke, Kevin Verette, Wayne Churchill, Michael Calderon, Michael Cox, Casey Phillips, Felix Botello, Scotty Hibler, Jose Vega, and Dennis Hardman. This week on Thursday, February 9, the JV Tennis Team will play in the Llano JV Tournament. On Friday, February 10, the varsity team will play in the Llano Varsity Tournament. On Saturday, February 11, the varsity team will play in Killeen at 8:00 a.m. against Killeen Ellison. At 1:00 p.m. we will travelled over to Copperas Cove and play Copperas Cove. Hope everyone can come out and see us play. Get out and hit those yellow tennis balls.
