The 2010-2011 yearbooks are available for $25. See Pam Starr to purchase one. Yearbooks may be purchased during normal school hours. The Lady Coyotes wrapped up their season this past Tuesday at Lohn. Coach Pam Starr ended the season with just 5 players. There were no disagreements about playing time with just 5 players. The girls are to be congratulated for their stamina and endurance, especially in the fourth period of play. Coach Rogers and the varsity boys have one more game this Friday at 6:00 at Richland Springs gym against the Eden Bulldogs. Neither varsity team will make the playoffs this year. The junior high teams played in the District Tournament this past weekend at Eden. Both the girls and boys teams came away with one victory in tournament play. Congratulations to Coach Lewis and Coach Burkhart on a great season. It’s time to hang-up the basketball uniforms and hand out the track uniforms. Track season begins with cold weather and ends in the warmth of spring.The Richland Springs’ 4H Club under the guidance of Valerie Gossett and Paula Miller met this past Tuesday after school. The students always enjoy camaraderie and refreshments at their meetings. Thanks 4H for your efforts!Patsy Hall is attempting to teach Richland Springs OAP students the art of acting. To help them prepare for their One Act Play performances, the cast traveled to San Antonio this past weekend to see a professional production of Steel Magnolias. They will also attend several One Act Play festivals where various judges will critique their performances. Hopefully the all girl cast can hone their acting skills to such a degree that they can perform their way to Austin and the state meet.It’s great to see our community supporting students in their efforts to achieve. We have a great community, students, teachers and staff. It takes everyone working together to achieve success. Community involvement is the key to success.
