Florinda Guerra, 55, a lifetime resident of San Saba, passed away Monday, November 5, 2007 at her residence in San Saba. She was born January 30, 1952 in Acuna Cuidad, Mexico, the daughter of Isabel Guerra Calameo and Arminda Valdez Rosalez Guerra. She attended the Catholic Church.

She is survived by four sons: Lazaro Alvizo, Robert Alvizo, Manuel Alvizo and Martin Vega, all of San Saba; two daughters, FlorAna Alvizo of San Saba and Anjela Vega of San Angelo; seven grandchildren; four brothers, Raul Guerra, Jesus Guerra and Jorge Guerra, all of Mexico, and Francio Guerra of Lufkin, TX; one sister, Teresa Morales of San Saba; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father and one infant son.

Funeral Services were held, Saturday, November 10, 2007 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with Father Gregory McLaughlin officiating. Interment followed at the San Saba City Cemetery.

A Rosary was held Thursday, November 8, 2007 and Friday, November 9, 2007 at the Howell-Doran Funeral Home in San Saba.

Memorials should be made to the San Saba County EMS.
