Samuel “Sam” Flores, age 44, of San Saba passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2012, at his residence. He was born on February 8, 1967 in San Saba to Adolfo Flores and Teckla Ramos. He graduated from San Saba High School in 1986 and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in San Saba. Sam was an avid outdoorsman who loved camping and spending time with his family.Mr. Flores is survived by his children, Maria Flores and Frank Flores of Temple. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Gilbert Flores and wife, Lupe of San Saba; Ruben Flores of San Saba; Adolfo Flores, Jr. and wife, Julia of Snyder; Jose Alfredo Flores of San Saba; Gonzalo Flores and wife, Abby of San Saba; Oralia Huron and husband, Ernest of San Saba; Susana Coronado and husband, Apolonio of San Saba; Ester Flores and Joe Pena of San Angelo; Sylvia Juarez of San Saba; Emma Stewart and husband, Bruce of San Saba; and Delia Krueger of San Saba. Also left behind to cherish his memory is his sister in law, Linda Flores of Huntsville, Alabama; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Louis Flores.Funeral Services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in San Saba, with interment to follow in the San Saba Cemetery. Funeral Mass will be led by Deacon Richard Menchaca. A Rosary was held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at Blaylock Funeral Chapel of San Saba. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the San Saba Cemetery Association. Friends may sign the guest book on line at www.blaylockfuneralhome.com.
