Wrong Medicine
Thursday, January 19, 2012 • Posted January 19, 2012

Recently my wife called and asked me if I would pick up a prescription for her while I was in town. I was near a Pharmacy that we have never used before but I went in and ordered her medicine. Well the girl gave me the brand her Pharmacy carries and it was in a different colored box and had a different name. When I got home I thought I would look it up on the computer and lo and behold it was not even the same medicine. It would not have even been any help to my wife and may have harmed her. In thinking about that it reminded me of something in the Bible. It says we all or everyone has a problem or sickness and it leads to death, or separation from God, (Romans 3:23 & 6:23). The danger is if not treated properly and quickly it will take us to place of much suffering and torment and no possibility of escape, (Hebrews 9:27, Revelation 20:11-15). There is only one remedy for this illness and we must take it as prescribed to escape the consequences of the illness. That remedy God sent to and for us in the form of Jesus Christ His only begotten Son, (John 3:16, Romans 5:8, 1 Peter 3:18). That remedy is there for all who will take it, (John 1:12). That medicine is guaranteed 100% to work, (1 John 5:13, John 5:24). See you in Church next Sunday.
