Elm Grove Echoes
Thursday, January 19, 2012 • Posted January 19, 2012

We are enjoying some beautiful, warm days. I could do without the wind and we would always welcome some more rain. The Busy Bee quilters met last Tuesday at Irene Hammett’s house. Joining Irene were, Fay and Gloria Lusty, Marilyn Miller and Carol Orr. The ladies worked on a quilt for Irene and I believe they will continue on it next month. There was a good turnout for the 42 tournament at Elm Grove last Saturday night. Ann Harlow and Larry Cottrell won first place, Marilyn Suber and Alan Taylor came in second and Curtis Lee and Donna Webb claimed third. The Elm Grove community meeting will be this coming Saturday night and, again, we urge all area residents to please make every effort to attend. we will elect officers and we need all the help we can get to keep the community up and running. We had a good day Sunday. Stacie and Sophia Elizondo and Bethany Suber came from San Angelo for a visit and they were joined at our house by Amy, Jax, Georgia and Jesse Tucker for a pizza supper. It was a nice day and most of the group went down to the park for a while. Sophia is 19 months old and very entertaining. Her three cousins sure do enjoy spending time with her. We were sorry to hear that Kenneth Powell is facing some serious health problems. We will add him and his family to our prayer list.
